- Derek 04:56PM, Feb 9 2012 Yes, although the small space could be an underlying issue because the Ambrosia Gold can get quite busy with it's deep, golden veining and movement. I recommend to bring samples home and see how they look in your kitchen next to the cabinets, and make sure to pick your slab in-person. Good luck!

04:39PM, Feb 9 2012 Bringing in a striking contrast to offset the honey color of your cabinetry is an excellent idea. The Imperial Coffee pictured on this page would pull this design idea off nicely, as well as Bahia Brown granite, and Ubatuba, Golden Jade, ect. Hope this helps!

04:34PM, Feb 9 2012 First of all, congratulations on a beautiful Giallo Napole granite countertop! For the backsplash, I recommend options such as 2" x 2" Pietra Antica Noce tumbled travertine, or 1" x 2" Beige & Mocha Ancient tumbled travertine mosaic. I've attached images of my suggestions for your reference. Hope this helps!

04:31PM, Feb 9 2012 We do not carry a stone called "Golden Typhoon" but we may very well have it under a different name because sometimes fabricators give a stone their own name. I do not know if these two stones are the same, but I can guess that they have some differences.

04:07PM, Feb 9 2012 If you mean Portofino Classico, or Santa Cecilia Real, both of those are solid and warm choices, but the Cecilia would be a stronger contrast to offset your cabinet color. I've created a Comparison Table for you to see the difference:

Some other recommendations for you to consider are Giallo Napole, and Toffee. For the backsplash, I recommend a tumbled travertine such as Oyster Mix Flamed mosaic:

03:41PM, Feb 9 2012 I don't think its necessarily too busy -- there are various shipments of Bianco Antico out there and some have more movement than others, so make sure to look at the slabs in-person when you're picking the final selection. Some other recommendations for you that are similar but may be a bit less busy are White Spring and Snowflakes. Good luck!

03:30PM, Feb 9 2012 We fabricate and install the slabs into countertops, not tiles. The slabs are 1 1/4" thick (standard countertop thickness).
  • Cindy 06:58AM, Feb 9 2012 Appreciate all the comments and suggestions. I did see these tiles and granite colors before I chose them (the new construction design center didn't have a big variety though). I was thinking to paint the walls in an apricot color though - I love bold colors and I want to maybe warm up the bathroom and lighten up the brown tones in the floor and shower wall tile - how does that sound?
  • Ilene 04:46AM, Feb 9 2012 Hi, My cabinets are being painted antique white, was thinking of New Venetian Gold till I went to a yard and saw Giallo Venetizano with beautiful soft brown colors and quite a bit of cream color.  Do you like GV with antique white?  Want to use subway tile for the backsplash, but don't know what tile to use.  I love bambo natural for the floor, I have natural old oak floors in my house, do you think this will look ok?  Do you like these choices or can you suggest others?  Thanks!
  • Deb 04:12AM, Feb 9 2012 We have chosen to use giallo ornamental granite.  My question is sink color.. should I stay with ss or colored sink.   Currently looking at Kohler sinks colors sandbar or black n tan...  Please reply
  • Pchl17 11:34PM, Feb 8 2012 I need your help.  I have to make a decision yesterday.  I have white/white cabinets and a Bruce hardwood Maple Cinnamon floor. I was looking at White Spring granite (which everyone thinks is too light and will make a boring kitchen) Verde Butterfly, which doesn’t have any movement and I have been told that green granite is out of style now  or now I am thinking about Giallo Ornamental.  What do you suggest? Will White Spring be boring? What back splash would you suggest for each of the 3 granites?  Thank you for your help.

07:42PM, Feb 8 2012 To answer your first question, my recommendations are Delicatus, and New Colonial Dream. Also, a new stone in your yards that could look very pretty in your design is Medusa, take a look here:

For the Master Bath, I also recommend the antique white cabinets to create a stunning contrast the set-up needs.
  • Jlchamas 05:38PM, Feb 6 2012 Would this color granite look good with honey colored cabinets and floor?  Small space.

    Thank you.

08:15PM, Nov 4 2011 Absolutely! Make sure to look at the granite in-person and pick the exact slab and cut you wish to have as your countertop as the Ambrosia Gold has a rich pattern of golden veins that changes throughout the stone. Good luck!
  • Patriciadelugo 02:12PM, Nov 4 2011 we're remodeling our small kitchen, we have stainless steel appliances, oak cearamic floor and copper ceiling would ambrosia gold go well with this?

02:00PM, Sep 23 2011 The Ambrosia Gold pictured on this page is a very pretty option. It's rich golden veins will compliment the colors tones in your design nicely, while the light background of the stone will contrast your darker cabinet tone. Another option could be Atlantis, or New Colonial Dream. Good luck!

  • Meredith 04:30PM, Jan 22 2008 Would Cinnamon colored Cherry cabinets go nicely with this granite? What kind of backsplash would you recommend with these colors? Thanks.
