02:10PM, Jun 8 2011 Sounds like a design worthy of being published in a magazine. I think that would look stunning. The rich Blue Bahia pattern will look elegant against your cabinet colors. My only small concern is the backsplash mosaic. The Blue Bahia is a very busy stone, so perhaps the backsplash tile should be a bit calmer. In the "Vatican Gallery" section, the color marked Beige is a nice choice. Just some food for thought.
  • dmom 01:41AM, Jun 8 2011 I am using Indian Slate porcelain tile on the kitchen floor. See the following website http://www.internationalwholes...
The following colors, brown, ivory, beige, green and blue (earth and sky colors) will be set in a pinwheel pattern. The island cabinets will be a rich brown, the cabinets surrounding the kitchen will be a natural color.
The kitchen backsplash will be ivory with the mix mosaic.
Do you think this granite would work in our kitchen for the countertops?
  • Marmi di Carrara 02:26PM, Jun 6 2011 Certainly! The Blue Bahia is so unique that it will look stunning with almost any wood color.
  • greeko 03:11AM, Jun 5 2011 Will this work well with white cabinets?
  • Tiffany 09:57PM, Apr 2 2011 Would this color be too flashy with maple cabinets? Also, what color floors and backsplash would compliment this granite color with maple cabinets?
  • Jerry 01:38PM, Jul 28 2010 Is it optimal to have new appliances installed prior to counter top installation or after?
  • Ann 06:23PM, Apr 26 2010 Thanks, you confirmed that it might be too busy for my kitchen.
  • Ann 12:48PM, Apr 26 2010 This looks absolutely beautiful and I'm wondering if it would work in the home I'm buying next month. It's a very open custom designed contemporary design home built in the late 1970s with white cabinets, hardwood floors, white appliances, and lots of natural light. The kitchen opens directly into the dining area (which in turn opens into the living room). My dining room furniture is a maple or light oak and the fabric on the chairs a smoke blue (but could be easily changed). I'd like the area to retain is warm inviting feel...and look fairly sophisticated at the same time. Would Blue Bahia be too flashy...I have quite a bit of counter space in the kitchen (u-shaped)?
  • Dave 10:58PM, Apr 24 2010 what are the measurements and price per slab of this granite??
  • sjay 10:13PM, Apr 3 2010 I love this stone, but would this countertop be suitable for a small, but sunny kitchen. The cabinets are black; white backsplash; stainless appliances and soft grey flooring. Thanks.

  • jim 11:07PM, Apr 13 2009 I have a large bright sunny kitchen and we were drawn to this stone. Too bright & flashy with big counterspace? With dark cherry bases and canvas tops (only 5)?
