- Derek 06:38PM, Oct 4 2011 A color such as Ubatuba would be lovely, as well as Kosmus or Metallic. Kinga's suggestions are also on point. If you choose any of these options, the stone will surely be a center piece of your kitchen with an elegant contrast.

04:51PM, Oct 4 2011 If you get a lot of natural sunlight, a dark stone like the Coffee Imperial or Bahia Brown would be a fantastic choice. Are the island cabinets the same as the perimeter? If not, can you describe them? If they are the same, I would say keep the same granite. If you have different wood or finish, a stone like the Yellow River would be a wonderful choice to make the island stand out. Let me know what you think!
  • Doug 01:57AM, Oct 4 2011 Hello, I just finished putting new dark wood floor and Natural Shaker Cabinets in my house. I am looking for a granite for my counter tops and one for the Islands. Should I go with a dark color like Black and should I keep the same on the Island?

08:47PM, Sep 28 2011 My suggestion would be something along the lines of Benjamin Moore "Linen White". I've attached an image for your reference. Kinga's recommendations are also wonderful and do not hesitate to check them out!

04:30PM, Sep 28 2011 Benjamin Moore’s “Alpine White”, “Olivetint”, and “Light Breeze” I feel are great paint options for your space.  I think the Imperial Coffee along with the tumbled travertine backsplash are wonderful choices for your setup. Go for it!
  • Sweetsal26 01:41PM, Sep 28 2011 I decided to go with the Imperial Coffee and the tumbled travertine for the backsplash.  Now I have to select a paint color. Suggestions? Please!   I'm supposed to move on to the bathroom remodeling once I complete the kitchen, but I might need to take a break from the decision making.  Thanks again for your help, Derek!

06:47PM, Sep 1 2011 Sally, I believe we spoke on the LiveChat. The floor tile and cabinet color are great and you should not change anything with regard to this aspect of the design. However the granite choice I feel should be a little less flashy. My suggestions are Imperial Coffee, Butterfly Antique, Cosmic Black, Metallic, and Black Pearl. I know it's a hard decision but hang in there! You have to look at these choices as slabs in-person, and perhaps put a cabinet door sample against them to see how you like the various combinations, or take samples of the granite colors home with you and lay them against the cabinets in your kitchen light. I hope I've not confused you more, hang in there.
  • SallyAnn 10:51AM, Sep 1 2011 I'm looking for help with granite/backsplash options for Maple Praline w/Mocha Highlight cabinets with oil rubbed bronze hardware.  The flooring will be Emil Ceramica in Earth with Stainless Steel appliances.  I originally selected Black Galaxy, but now I'm second guessing everything!  Your help would be greatly appreciated!  Thank you!  Sally
  • Marilyn Keck 12:38PM, Feb 5 2011 Any granite/backsplash suggestions for light maple cabinets, light maple hardwood floors & stainless appliances in an open floor plan? So far, I like Coffee Imperial, Black Pearl, Black Galaxy, GP Black, & Emerald Pearl.
  • JenC 11:16AM, Oct 14 2010 Thanks for the suggestion. We visited All Granite last weekend and really like Giallo Ornamental -- do you think that is a good combo with our cabinets (canvas/white with cocoa glaze)?
  • JenC 10:19PM, Oct 7 2010 We have kraftmaid canvas cabinets with cocoa glaze. Do you think coffee imperial is too dark? I like contrast but also like some pictures I've seen with cream based granite. Suggestions?
  • jose 06:52PM, Sep 30 2010 i would liketo know wath is the price for this slab
  • Marmi di Carrara 11:16AM, May 18 2009 Keta: They're not that far from each other. I think it would work just as well.
  • Sonia 09:40AM, May 18 2009 What other dark granite color (besides balck) would go with maple, mocha glazed cabinets and oak harwood floors. We want to put in a black sink and stainless steel appliances. The cabinets have black lines outlining the raised cabinet surfaces. Looking at colors such as Espresso Brown or Coffee Pearl. Any suggestions? Thanks.
  • Brian 10:52AM, Jul 20 2008 Thoughts on this with a chestnut (kind of a golden honey)stained maple cabinet in a 16x12 kitchen with island and bar/counter to the dining room. There is one 3 foot window. Thanks!
