I do not think that's too "warm" or anything along those lines, the Ivory Gold granite will compliment your floor nicely while it has some dark brown highlights that will offset the light cabinetry. Go for it!

I'm shopping countertops - have very light blonde cabinets (i believe they're oak, but possibly maple), existing sea green ceramic tile floor with dark gray grout and plan to paint the walls a warm neutral color - either French white or White sand (Benjamin Moore colors). One of my clients has Ivory Gold countertops similar to ID: 1433. I'm planning to do my countertops with a 4" backsplash. What's your opinion of this look with what I've described above. I'm wondering if it will be too many warm colors and if I should instead contrast with something a little "colder" for the countertops. Suggestions appreciated, I'm in NJ.

I recommend a warm, neutral, soft toned natural tile. Take a look at choices such as a Botticino marble Split-Faced mosaic or Baja Cream 1" x 2" polished travertine mosaic. I've attached pictures for your reference. Good luck!

I have just installed Ivory Gold,  similar to the center granite above.  I have Mission style Hazelnut colored cabinets and the floor tiles are a Mexican (clay pot color) 10x10" tile.  What tile would you suggest for a backsplash?

05:44PM, Feb 18 2012 We do not have specific radon emission information on the Ivory Gold granite. You can read about radon emission in granite here:

05:39PM, Feb 18 2012 To make the decision between light (Ivory Gold) and dark (Imperial Coffee) you must analyze the following aspects in your design: is the kitchen a large, open space? If so, this would benefit using a dark countertop color such as Imperial Coffee. Does the kitchen receive plenty of natural light? If not, a lighter color such as Ivory Gold would be more appropriate.
  • Claudia 03:58PM, Feb 16 2012 Hi,  Do you happen to have information on radon emissions of ivory gold granite? Thank you!
  • Joan 12:47AM, Feb 16 2012 Hi-I have maple cabinets with coffee glaze.  Walls are off white, appliances as well.  I initially though Imperial Coffee would be good for a countertop, but after seeing Ivory Gold, I like it as well, only I'm confused as to whether it might be too light.  I have a very small kitchen and plan on buying stainless steel appliances at some point.  The floor is a off white tile with medium grey grout.  Any suggestions as to whether to go light or dark?  the handles on the cabinet doors are bronze and mission style.
    Thanks

07:52PM, Dec 23 2011 I feel the Ivory Gold and golden oak cabinetry combination could be too close to a match. I'm a strong advocate of contrast between the counters and cabinets to offset the color tone between these two aspects. Something a little darker, such as Brown Alpine, Golden Shadow S, or Kosmus could be more appropriate. Let me know how you feel about this.

02:21PM, Dec 23 2011 Sure Ivory Gold is a wonderful choice, this granite or something in similar color tone or pattern is what I would surely use in your situation. It's an effective yet very warm and inviting contrast. For the backsplash, my recommendations are options such as Tumbled Rhine travertine or Mocha Split Face Versailles Mosaic travertine. Let me know what you think about my thoughts so far.
  • Nalan 04:57PM, Dec 21 2011 Hi! We have golden oak  kitchen cabinets..Does ivory gold go with the golden oak cabinets and earth tone back splash..Any suggestions..

08:37PM, Dec 20 2011 I'd use a deep and elegant contrast. To achieve this effect, a granite shade such as Golden Jade, Brown Alpine, or perhaps Tan Brown would compliment and offset the golden oak wood in your kitchen.
  • Devorah 11:36PM, Dec 19 2011 Hi, Does Ivory Gold go with white formica cabinets and floor. It was suggested so that it would add color to the room. What would be a good back splash? What color would you paint the walls?

I was thinking of doing ice white, one of your new colors ,or also Bianco Romano. Which do you think goes the best? Devorah

09:02PM, Nov 2 2011 The Ivory Gold granite pictured on this page would compliment your design nicely. Another option could be Golden Dream, and Golden Shadow.
